Meetings usually last between 1 and 2 hours. Pack 335 also holds a pack meeting once per month. The length of time for this meeting varies depending on the activity the meeting is planned around. Sometimes it is planned around a dinner and other times some other event such as the Pinewood Derby, family camp or Raingutter Regatta. On average you should plan on 3-5 events per month for your child. How much does Scouting cost?[return] Like anything else there is a cost to scouting. If you sign up in August plan on spending $45 for the rest of the year. This will cover the cost of items such as books, awards and membership fees. For more information on scouting costs please reference the Parents Handbook. Do I have to attend all of my Scouts events?[return] No. Most Scouting events are designed for the Scout to attend with his den. There are some events that Parents need to attend such as Pack meetings and family camps. Tiger Cubs (1st grade) are a little different. Parents must attend most events with them. We understand that not everyone has the time to commit to being a scout leader but there are several projects, events and activities that parents can help out with. Please let us know if you are interested in helping in any way.
